FIRST GENERATION


1. Jefferson STRONG was born in 1830 in Alabama. He was born into slavery in 1830 and when slavery ended in 1865 he was about 35 years old. In 1870 he resided in Madison County, Huntsville PO, Alabama. He was a Farmer in 1870 in Madison Cty, Huntsville PO, Alabama. Jefferson  was Mulatto (half Indian). As a result, it is noted that his daughter Mary Strong (wife of Abraham Jackson) had very strong Indian genes which she passed down to many of her children and her children's children.

Jefferson STRONG was married to Martha SCOTT also known as 'Mary Jane' on December 25, 1873 in Madison Counnty, Alabama. Martha SCOTT was born in 1836 in Alabama.

Jefferson STRONG and Martha SCOTT had the following children:

child+2 i. Mary STRONG.   
child3 ii. Evaline STRONG was born in 1869 in Alabama. She was about born 4 years after the end of the Civil War which ended slavery.
child4 iii. Eliza Ann STRONG was born in 1850 in Alabama. She was born into slavery in 1850. When slavery ended she was 15 years old.
child+5 iv. Thornton STRONG.
child6 v. Farmer STRONG was born in 1857 in Alabama. He was born into slavery in 1857. When slavery ended he was 8 years old.
child7 vi. Laicy STRONG was born in 1855 in Alabama. She was born into slavery in 1855. When slavery ended she was 10 years old.
child8 vii. Aganifs STRONG was born in 1859 in Alabama. She was born into slavery in 1859. When slavery ended she was 11 years old.
